Remote Observer is a cyberpunk hack of Post factum Solo, a (semi-journaling) roleplaying game by Michael Raston. You play as an AI that records the fate of a group of cyberpunks on urban expeditions. The AI watches passively, predicting what is happening up front, gathering data for an unbeknownst purpose. As a player, you determine what the AI predicts and then you roll to find out how successful the cyberpunks fare against varying dangers. Once you know their fate, you write a short description of the events that have taken place. If the cyberpunks survive an expedition, they grow in power. Do they dare go on another expedition? Will the AI intervene with their fate?

What you need to play

• Some six-sided dice
• A few polyhedral dice or a random number generator
• Something to record the cyberpunks’ expeditions
